Bilingual Business Planning Series

June 3 - June 24 | Mondays 6:00pm – 8:00pm | Longmont Chamber of Commerce | 528 Main Street

This 8-week program will help you quickly develop your business plan and to decide if your business is feasible.

The four workshops include: Entrepreneurial Essentials, Marketing, Organizational Issues, and a Financial Overview.

In addition, each participant is required to schedule 4 hours of free, one-on-one consulting with the series presenter. The goal of this series is to allow participants to have their business plan or feasibility study completed in 8 weeks.

Multicultural businesses are encouraged to attend. Attendees with little or no business experience are welcome!

Complete or refine your business plan, with an emphasis on understanding your market and developing financials.  Each business plan component will be explained, along with information about additional resources that will be helpful in completing each section.  A must for any entrepreneur, especially for those seeking funding or in the early stages of their business growth.

Destination Business BootCamp®

 

June 4‐6, 2013 (2½ day workshop)
The Meeting Place Conference Center | Marriott Complex | Longmont, CO


If you want to make your business stronger and more profitable or make your business more desirable to sell when you decide to retire, you can't afford to miss this workshop! This 2½ day workshop is designed for existing retailers, restaurateurs, and small business owners interested in learning the strategy of creating a Consumer Destination. Participants will learn Jon Schallert’s proprietary 14‐step strategy to make their business a dominant Destination Business.

Using this strategy, past attendees of Schallert’s BootCamp have:

 

A limited number of scholarships are available to owners of existing retail stores or restaurants in the City of Longmont (more than 50% of sales are sales taxable transactions). Other restrictions may apply.

QuickBooks Essentials

June 11, 2013 | 6:00pm - 9:00pm | Longmont Chamber of Commerce | 528 Main Street

This training class is an introduction to the basic functions of QuickBooks. It will cover topics starting with the initial setup and end with creating the financial reports that summarizes the health of the business.

QuickBooks can save the company money by delivering a completed financial statement to their tax accountant as opposed to a series of loose transactions that would have to be summarized by the accountant.

Attendees will learn and take away:

• Initial setup

• Recording sales transactions from clients

• Recording payments due to vendors

• Reconciling bank accounts

• Running reports
• Knowledge of the record keeping processes that allow a company to track company sales, expenses, and bank activity, then summarize those transactions to determine the company’s financial position

Who should attend?

• Focuses on service-oriented businesses, but all businesses can benefit

• The course content covers the basics of recording financial transactions for normal business activity

• It is intended for those who have not used QuickBooks yet or have just started

• The course would benefit both business owners and the bookkeepers that support them
