LiveWell Longmont Launch Week - September 16 - 20, 2008
Earlier this year , a new community initiative, LiveWell Longmont, formed to help mobilize the entire Longmont community to eat better and be more active in their daily lives. During the week of September 16 - 20, 2008, LiveWell Longmont will officially launch this initiative to the entire community by showcasing the following activities to help people in Longmont become more physically active and eat healthier.

September 17, 2008 - What can Business Do – Worksite Wellness
September 20, 2008 - LiveWell Longmont Wellness Expo
September 20 - 27th - Longmont Walking Challenge

St. Vrain Memorial Building

- 24 booths that focus on a wide variety of tools and information that support healthy living.
- Fitness advisors from both the YMCA and the City’s recreation center to provide one-on-one fitness assessments and testing
- Healthy cooking demonstrations, physical activity mini-classes and a lecture/presentation area.
- Demonstrations include jump-rope clinic, Aikido, Jujitsu, Zumba, Bosu and safe stretching.
- Free Walking Stick promotion. Participants need to visit nine booths receive a stamp. The first 250 people to do so will receive a free walking stick engraved with LiveWell Longmont.
- Participate in group walks as a kick-off the Longmont Walking Challenge.

Register beginning September 17th at any of the following locations: Longmont Recreation Center, Longmont Senior Center, St. Vrain Memorial Building, Salud Clinic, or YMCA. Help us count 135 million steps the week of September 20 – 27.
