Economic Development Department
From the Director...
Development Services Center, 385 Kimbark Street
The remodeling of the old Museum and City Hall has been completed and we have moved into our new offices at the Development Services Center. The Economic Development Department,
in an effort to streamline the development review and building permit processes,
has located all staff that deals with development review and permit processing in one convenient place. What this means is that
customers can get all their information, plan reviews and building permits
without having to travel to various sites throughout the city. The Development Services Center is now home to he Economic Development divisions that
pertain to development and building, including Planning, Development Services,
Economic Vitality and Redevelopment/Urban Renewal. We also provide office hours for Longmont Power and Communication, Public Works Water/Wastewater
and Fire Department representatives. Check out the Development Services Center page for office hours and related links.

Private Activity
Bonds (PAB) are municipal bonds issued by a "municipality" (any
city, town or county) for the purpose of financing land, buildings and/or
equipment for manufacturing, industrial, agricultural or business enterprises.
This financing technique may also be used for low and moderate income housing,
hospital facilities or pollution control projects.
The City of
Longmont is responsible for the administration of several agreements with
Boulder and Weld Counties for the purpose of cooperative planning and review
of new development applications.
This incentive program was designed
to help stimulate new and existing economic development in Longmont
