Quality of Life Benchmarks
2009 Annual Report to Council
The Longmont City Council formally approved a set of
Quality of Life Benchmarks for the City of Longmont. These benchmarks were
thought to be essential in assisting the Council (and other decision makers)
in monitoring the impacts that growth and development have on the community's
quality of life. The Council asked for quarterly reports to ensure that impacts
are regularly evaluated and appropriate measures taken to avoid exceeding
a benchmark or to begin serious discussions on what should be done when a
benchmark is exceeded.
