Sunnyvale Condominiums, Neighborhood Groups

Sunnyvale is a six unit, 120 family residential complex and is zoned R3 (High density residential). The complex has approximately 87% owner occupied residents. Conveniences include on-sight laundry, and a swimming pool and very close to the main roadways in Longmont. Sunnyvale condominiums are located near normal suburban conveniences such as shopping, employment centers, schools, local YMCA facility, Centennial and Kensington parks.

The building complex was completed in the early eighties. All six building are of “Tutor” style construction – beige in color with green accents. Recent remodels of the roofs, exterior siding of the building and the main walkways have been the recent undertakings from the homeowners association. All exterior remodels are expected to be completed in the next two fiscal years.

The surrounding residential areas vary from single-family residents, multi-family unit condominiums, and town homes. Currently, Sunnyvale Condominiums is part of the Longmont Police Departments’ “Beat 8”.

Various land and title books have been researched in the local Library, however minimal information has been found on the Sunnyvale property. Even the County Government refers to the tract of land as “Sunnyvale Condominiums”.

Neighborhood Grants and Projects

Sunnyvale has been a part of the NGLA program for 4 years. The first grant received was used to replace a weather worn sign on the corner Lashely and 8th Avenue. The second grant is being used to replace an unsafe weather worn split rail fence with a PVC fence. The next grant will be used to replace the second phase of the fencing project.
