The LONGMONT LANDLORD TRAINING ALLIANCE, a collaborative program between the Longmont Police Department and Community and Neighborhood Resources, announces it’s programming for 2012. The Landlord Training Alliance is held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at:
Longmont Senior Center
910 Longs Peak Avenue
Rooms D & E
6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Each monthly training has been approved by the Colorado Division of Real Estate for 2 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for licensed realtors.

IMMIGRATION LAW AND THE LANDLORD/TENANT RELATIONSHIP

Detective Bloom will discuss marijuana grow operations, small and large, in rentals and medical marijuana use by tenants. Does the law mean a tenant has the right to grow or smoke in your building? SAFETY ADVISE FOR RENTAL PROPERTY OWNERS
Officers Sara Aerne and Keith Bell have been working with the Crime Free Multi Housing program in Longmont since its inception. They have combined years of experience with safety issues and solutions in rental units. Even if you have already taken the Crime-free Multi Housing training, this will be an excellent refresher, and a chance to discuss with other landlords situations that you have run into in your rentals.
