The above rental prices are for the facility costs with assistance from the on-site event coordinator the day of your event. This rental time will include setup time, event, and cleanup time.
Facility rental time does not include garden equipment rental or catering with wait staff.
Facility Fees, Payment and Policy Information
A first hour rental deposit is required when the reservation is booked. This amount is applied toward your rental fee and is not refundable if your date or times are changed or canceled. An additional nonrefundable payment of 40% of the estimated rental fee is due 120 days before your event and the balance of the rental fee is due in full on the day of the event. A contract, including event information, confirmation of date and signature of responsible party is required by the Callahan House Manager. A 6% administration fee will be assessed on the final bill for assistance from the House Manager throughout the entire planning process (i.e. scheduling, staffing, organizing appointments, final walk-throughs with caterers, and vendor and client drop-offs).
The client is required to obtain a City of Longmont Alcohol in Public Places permit, issued by City Clerk's Office, to serve alcohol on the premises. Only champagne, wine and beer may be served. Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your event. The City Clerk's office will notify you when your application has been approved and when you can pick up and sign for your temporary license.
The Event Coordinator will review Callahan House alcohol policies with you. The Callahan House does not provide glassware for service of alcohol.
Clients may choose live music, CD's with an outdoor PA system or a DJ. A portable speaker system may be rented by the day from the Callahan House which includes microphone and lapel microphone, and two high quality speakers. Client's CD changers can be plugged into this system to provide lovely garden music. The sound level must remain acceptable for a residential neighborhood and
be approved by staff. Amplification may not exceed a decibel level of 50.
Dancing is permitted outside only, portable dance floors may be rented but is not required. Guests may dance on grass areas.
Garden lighting is adequate for evening events. Three lantern poles, fountain lights and porch lights provide safety for dancing.
