Class A. A Class A license entitles the licensee
to contract for the construction, alteration or repair of any type or size
of building or structure permitted by the International Building Code except
electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire extinguishing, and elevators. The
holder of a Class A can demolish any building or structure (or portion thereof)
when rebuilding on site.

Class B. A Class B license entitles the licensee
to contract for the construction, alteration or repair of any type or size
of building or structure permitted by the International Building Code except
those classified as Type IA or Type IIA construction or electrical, plumbing,
mechanical, fire extinguishing, and elevators. The holder of a Class B can
demolish any building or structure (or portion thereof) when rebuilding
on site.

Class C. A Class C license entitles the licensee
to contract for the construction, alteration or repair of single family
dwellings, or multi-family dwellings with a maximum of four dwelling units
and three stories or less in height, including accessory buildings. The
holder of a Class C can demolish buildings or structures (or portion thereof)
when rebuilding on site.

Class D Specialty
A Class D license entitles the licensee to contract for labor or for labor
and materials involving only one trade. A Class D licensee may be licensed
to perform more than one specialty. These include:
- lathing, plastering and drywall
- roof covering and waterproofing
- masonry and fireplaces
- concrete foundations and caissons
- wood framing
- swimming pools and spas
- structural metals
- precast concrete building units
- prefabricated metal patios, carports and awnings
- siding
- elevators
- demolition
- moving
- fire sprinklers
- signs
- manufactured home installation
- glass and glazing
- other specialty trade not listed above

Class M Mechanical. A Class M Mechanical license
entitles the licensee to install, add to, alter, or repair warm air heating,
venting, evaporative and refrigeration cooling, exhaust systems and their
appurtenances, hot water systems, process piping, refrigeration systems,
and related appurtenances.

Class E Electrical. No person shall receive
a permit to engage in the electrical installation wiring, appliance, or
electrical apparatus of any nature, kind or description (except central
stations, power houses, or substations) for the purpose of transmitting
or utilizing electric current for light, heat, power, or electrical signal
systems or other purposes inside of or in connection with any building or
buildings without an electrical contractor's license from the State of Colorado.

Class P Plumbing. In order to contract for
the installation, altering, or repairing of plumbing fixtures and apparatus
of any kind or nature a person must register with the Division of Building
Inspection. This registration shall include: applicant name, place of business,
the Master Plumber's name and license number.
