Longmont Classic Grass Doubles Volleyball Tournament

Longmont Recreation Services' Longmont Classic Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament offers Men's, Women's, Juniors An assortment of photos of volleyball players hitting the ball at the Longmont Classic Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament in 2011and Coed doubles volleyball using a single day format the fourth weekend in June.

2012 dates: Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24, 2012.

Sat, June 23, 2012, 8am check-in

Sun, June 24, 2012, 8am check-in

Roosevelt Park Pavilion, with parking off 700 Longs Peak Ave

Fee through Thursday 6/21/2012: $50/team and $40/team (juniors)

Fee beginning Friday 6/22/2012: $65/team and $55/team (juniors)

We are accepting Day-Of registrations at 7:45am both days. Please plan on coming early to register so that we can build the pool sheets appropriately. Day-Of registrations after 8:15am may not be able to be placed in a pool and may not be accepted. (If you have a net that you can bring, please do so. If we use it, you will get a reduced price to play!)

Registrations may be faxed, dropped off, or scanned and sent via e-mail. Mail-in is also an option. Details on the registration form.

Do you have a net that you can bring to play on? Bring it!! Also bring a ball if you have one for warm-up and play.

Prizes: Prizes are awarded to the top three teams in each division played (in the case that two or more divisions are combined, there will The Longmont Classic logo for the awards hoodies for 2011. be prizes for the top three teams in that combined division). Prizes vary by division and may include the following:

Juniors Divisions: volleyballs, hoodie sweatshirts, hand volleyball pumps

Mens/Womens/Coed Divisions: volleyballs, sportbrellas, hoodie sweatshirts, hand volleyball pumps

Next Reverse Coed Year is in 2013: Reverse Coed! It is coed played on a shorter net than mens and men are only allowed to hit from behind the 10 foot line (we will chalk that line in on the courts). Reverse Coed was a hit in 2011 and a nice variety. After talking with participants, we will be offering reverse coed on odd-numbered years, with standard coed on even numbered years. (2012 = regular coed).
